Our Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) team in Shenzhen, China invests significant time and resources to audit the factories where these Exclusive Brands are assembled, and also work with them to improve environmental processes, workplace conditions and labor practices. Our experience with manufacturers in China has focused our efforts to building manufacturers' ability to improve working conditions, lessen impact to the environment and increase business sophistication.

In fiscal 2008, we aggressively moved forward with ENERGY STAR training for our employees across the U.S. The training programs and our retail approach earned Best Buy our first-ever ENERGY STAR Excellence in Appliance Retailing Award.
