Best Buy Scholarship winners not only hit the books - they help their communities.

Best Buy wants to help students prepare for a brighter future, which starts with a college education. That's why since 1999 Best Buy has awarded over $10 million in scholarships to more than 9,000 students. This year 1,500 students were selected to receive awards of $1,500 each. An additional 51 students received awards of $10,000 each. At Best Buy, we believe what students learn inside and outside of the classroom are equally important, which is why the Best Buy Scholarship Program rewards students for their volunteer efforts and work experience in addition to academic achievements.

Applications for the next round of scholarships will be available in January 2009.
