Does Best Buy have a program to support Schools?

Yes. The Best Buy Teach@15 Award program provides gift cards to schools to improve technology in the classrooms. Teen members of at15.com can nominate and vote for schools to determine the award recipients.

What are the school eligibility requirements for a Teach@15 Award?

  • Accredited non-profit junior or senior public, private, parochial, magnet and charter high schools (serving any grades 7-12).
  • All schools must be non-profit.
  • All schools must be located in the United States.
  • Nominations must be made by Members of the @15 Site.
  • Home schools, pre-K schools/programs, after-school programs, colleges, universities and vocational-technical schools are NOT eligible.
 

How do I apply for a Teach@15 Award?

Teen members of at15.com must nominate a school for an award. Awards are issued every 15 days based on votes by teen members of at15.com.

 

What will my school win if we receive a Teach@15 Award?

All awards are issued in the form of Best Buy Gift Cards to enable schools to purchase the additional technology needed to expand or enhance their current programs.

 

Do the items purchased with the Teach@15 Award belong to the school?

Yes. All awards and the products purchased with the award are intended to benefit the school and the students at that school, and therefore should remain school property.

 

How will I know if my school has been selected to receive a Teach@15 Award?

An email with an acceptance form will be sent to the principal of the schools receiving the most votes. The form must be completed and returned to Best Buy to claim your gift card. Once we’ve received the acceptance form, the school name will be posted as a recipient on at15.com.

 

How do I claim my Best Buy Teach Award if I win?

An email with an acceptance form will be sent to the principal of the schools receiving the most votes. The form must be completed and returned to Best Buy to claim your gift card. Once we’ve received the acceptance form, the award will be shipped via UPS to the principal at the school.

 

I was a Teach@15 Award winner and I lost my gift card, what should I do?

Please send an email to Teach@BestBuy.com with your school name and principal name. Although Best Buy cannot be responsible for lost or stolen gift cards we will do our best to help you replace your card.

 

Our school has received a Teach@15 Award in the past, can we win again?

Yes. Schools that have received awards in the past are eligible to apply. Please note that only one Teach@15 Award will be awarded per school per year.
