Best Buy Mobile
There must be a better way.
At Best Buy Mobile, we believe that customers deserve independent, knowledgeable and straightforward advice. Not exactly a stop-the-presses kind of idea, but one that had yet to be effectively implemented in what is becoming an entirely mainstream and yet maddeningly complex technology.
Survey says?
The mobile phone industry had always been a less-than-favorable proposition for Best Buy (as well as its retailing peers), but it took a research note from JD Power to put the pesky business into perspective. Said finding stated: "Going to the dentist is a preferred option when compared to going to buy a cell phone."
Revolutionizing how mobile phones are sold
and serviced.
That sentiment didn't jibe with our company's customer-centric mission, and it helped crystallize a new sense of urgency – and a new business. Buoyed by a relationship with The Carphone Warehouse, Europe's leading independent mobile phone retailer, Best Buy Mobile was officially launched in the fall of 2006 with an eye toward revolutionizing the way mobile phones are sold and serviced in the United States. The Best Buy Mobile experience is now available in all existing U.S. Best Buy stores (as of August 2008) and the company is currently launching its first Best Buy Mobile stand-alone stores and store-within-a-store locations in Canada.
And this is just the beginning.
Mobile technology is on the brink of monumentally transforming the way people live and stay connected – personally and professionally – around the globe. Best Buy Mobile puts our company in a unique position to help consumers navigate this ever-expanding industry.
